Plasma Cutters
Plasma cutters are used in a variety of industries to cut steel and other conductive metals. Compressed air is forced up the torch and throught the torch's nozzle.

Simultaneously, an arc is created within the nozzle, which is forced at the material where a molten pool is formed. The compressed air then blows the molten material away and down to create a clean cut.

Impressively, Butter AMT Welding Plasma Cutters can make clean cuts (i.e little degradtion to the material either side of the cut and with minimal disortion) through metal as thick as 50mm. Also, the high cutting speeds achieved with plasma cutting equipmetnare of great benefit in high volume production applications.

There is very little heat put into the material surrounding the cut, giving an accurate finish with minimal distortion and clean edges, making plasma cutting very economical in comparison to other cutting methods.
